Every paid price is per month, per location. Read from 7shifts.com/pricing on 28 August 2026, with the billing toggle checked in both states. Premium adds $6 per month per employee paid, but only if you run payroll through 7shifts.
Two things that change the number more than the plan does
It is per location. A three site operator on Pro is not paying $79.99, they are paying $239.97 a month. Nothing on the pricing page multiplies this out for you, and it is the single biggest factor in what 7shifts actually costs.
The page opens on the Annual toggle. In that state the plans read $39.99, $79.99 and $134.99. Switch to Monthly and the same plans read $44.99, $89.99 and $149.99.

The “Save 10%” badge is slightly understated
7shifts advertises 10% off for annual billing. The real figures:

Accurate on Premium, and a little better than advertised on the two cheaper plans. It is rare enough for a claim to understate itself that it is worth pointing out.

The free Comp plan is genuinely usable for a single site with fifteen or fewer staff who only need a schedule and time off requests. It is not a trial.
The add-on maths, which is where Premium earns its price
7shifts sells four add-ons, USA only, priced per location:

Premium bundles the first three. 7shifts states their value as $39.99, $49.99 and $12.99, which is $102.97 a month.
So the comparison that matters:

And Premium removes the employee cap entirely, where Pro stops at 60. If you want all three add-ons, Premium is not the expensive option, it is the cheaper one by a wide margin.
The one catch on Premium is the payroll rider: $6 per month per employee paid, and 7shifts is explicit that it only applies if you actually run payroll through them. A 40 person site using 7shifts Payroll adds $240 a month to the $134.99.

That last row is the one to check before signing. The payroll rider can be four times the platform fee.
What the price does not tell you
What counts toward the employee cap. Essentials stops at 30 and Pro at 60. Whether inactive or seasonal staff still count is not stated, and restaurants carry a lot of both.
What happens when you cross a cap mid month. Nothing on the page says whether you are upgraded automatically, blocked, or billed a difference.
Add-ons are USA only. 7shifts states this plainly, but it means Payroll, Tips, Tasks, Log Book and Onboarding are unavailable outside the US, and Premium’s headline value rests on three of them.
Enterprise and franchise pricing is quote only. There is a contact route for it and no published figure.
“New customer pricing.” 7shifts notes on the page that these are new customer prices and subject to change, which is worth reading as a renewal question.
Who each plan is for
Comp suits a single site under fifteen staff that needs a schedule and nothing else.
Essentials at $39.99 is for a single site wanting advanced scheduling, team messaging and basic time clocking, up to thirty staff.
Pro at $79.99 is the one most independents will want. Labor compliance and cost tools are usually what pulls people up from Essentials, and the Manager Log Book arrives here.
Premium at $134.99 is for anyone who wants payroll, tips or task management, because buying those three separately on Pro costs $47.97 more. It is also the only plan without an employee cap.
How we checked this
We read 7shifts’ own pricing page in a browser on 28 August 2026, reached from 7shifts.com’s navigation rather than a guessed URL, and switched the billing toggle to both states before recording anything.
Worth noting for anyone trying to check this themselves: none of these figures appear in the page source. 7shifts renders its pricing with JavaScript, so a plain request returns a page with no numbers on it at all. That is why we used a browser rather than concluding the prices were unpublished.
